![]() ![]() It turns out that his tank allows you to shut off juice flow. So, back to the Internet for more information. ![]() I knew it was me, despite the low cost of the tank, because the Vertex Plus has good reviews. After trying just about every combination of wattage, TC and air flow, the best I could get was maybe 3 puffs before I had that lovely burnt cotton taste. Pre-soaked the wicks, assembled the tank and had similar results, albeit better than before. I did all the prep / wicking meticulously. I plugged in the numbers aiming for a 0.3Ω dual coil build. ![]() One of the first things that came up in my search was your site. So I tore it all apart, washed the tank and started over. They were awful! No matter what I tried, smart mode, power mode, TC, it resulted in dry hits. I pre-fired them, tweaked them with ceramic tweezers to eliminate hot-spots, wicked them with Cotton Bacon Prime and pre-soaked both wicks with juice. They came in at 0.18Ω on my Argus GT (just based on guess work). My first “seat-of-the-pants” attempt was a couple of 6 turn 26 ga. But I found a Vertex Plus RTA for a ridiculously low price and thought I’d try my hand. Thank you so much for this calculator (and all the other resources on this site)! I’m new to DIY coils and RTAs, having started my vaping journey with factory verticals and pod systems.
